Default Moving from AL. Need advice.

My fiancee and I are planning to move from Huntsville, AL to the Nashville area and need some help trying to figure out where to live. We have a budget of roughly $1,000 per month and want to be within a 30 minute or so drive to MTSU. We're wanting to rent a house, preferably with a fenced yard for our dog. We also have four cats that we're going to come with us. I'd prefer a 3 bed/2 bath house with a garage, but all of that is up for discussion if we can find a nice area. Any advice on where to look (both parts of town and websites) would be most welcome. And if you have a house for rent tha might fit what we need, definitely let me know!

Thanks!

Your best bet is to focus on the Murfreesboro/Smyrna areas based on travel time to MTSU and affordability. One word of caution about your four cats and a dog. Many renters either will not allow pets or that many pets. Also, many of those that do allow pets will charge a pet deposit fee($100-$300) per pet and some of these are non-refundable so make sure you know the details of the lease. As far as a website, check out Moderator cut: craigslist . Good luck!

I agree with Gbone, you would want to stay near Murfreesboro area and you really should not have a problem finding something since it is a college town. If Steve chimes in, he lives in that area and can probably give you more detailed info. Good Luck!!

I live in Murfreesboro. I think the rent is doable. It will be your precious pets that cause you some problems. There are so many LOL! My guess would be an older home might take them.
Here are a couple of ads I found on Craigslist...

Moderator cut: links to homes for sale not allowed

Good Luck!

Thanks Diane.
Guess I wasn't supposed to post those links though. I guess the OP will have to check Craigslist himself.
