We're looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Any suggestions for a good Italian restaurant in the downtown or West End area? Or perhaps a restaurant with good steaks?

Thanks!

As far as Italian, I'd suggest the following: Sole Mio, Valentino's, or Amerigo's.
As far as steak, I'd suggest: Sperry's, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, The Palm, Jimmy Kelley's, Fleming's, Merchants.
All of the above are very good as far as food, atmosphere, and service.

Thank you!

We (I) was considering Sole Mio. The menu looks really good, as well as the prices. Also heard good things about Stockyard! Hmm...

Stockyard seems like a great place for a meal.

Sole Mio is a great place for an anniversary. Call ahead and tell Debra you want it to be really special. She'll make it so. Stockyard will just ask what dressing you want on your salad. Not a bad thing at all, but this one should be special.

All the other recommendations are certainly worthy as well.

I'd second gbone's list for the most part. Even though it's a chain, I might add Stoney River for steaks.

Also, maybe Antonio's for Italian. It's in Bellevue. Also, a smaller, out of the way place, Cafe Nonna on Murphy Road.
