Default Narrowed my Area to Move

Ok- I have finally narrowed down the area of Nashville that we would like to move to. We will be traveling on a daily/weekly basis to area codes 37219, 37215, and 37212 (Blakemoor, Deaderick St, Woodmonth Blvd.). We want to live in a safe area that would equal less than 25 minute commute (8-5 regular commute hours) to these various areas. I homeschool so the schools are not that important, as long as my two continue listening to me anyway. I want to keep our house cost below $200,000. My husband is willing to go higher and I guess I am too if it is needed.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tam

I would recommend the Hermitage area or in the Pegram, Cheatham County area. Look at MLS ID #1025229

The Bellvue/Newsome Station and Riverwalk areas are also a possibility(zip code 37221). Those areas are off of the McCrory exit which is a little closer in than the Pegram exit.

I would also look at Bellevue. Woodmont Blvd can get extremely expensive, and the traffic is not fun. I live in Bellevue; the Highway 100 Area is especially nice and getting nicer. Sylvan Park is cute too. Good luck!

Default Belle Meade?

What about Belle Meade? That looks a little closer to downtown then the others listed. Is this a safe area?

Belle Meade is an excellent area but I couldn't imagine you being able to find something for <200K.

Tam, Belle Meade is Nashville's most exclusive and expensive area with the least expensive homes starting at over $400,000. It is a beautiful and highly desirable area but the costs reflect that. The average home price is over one million dollars.

Thanks for the info. that is definitely more than I want to pay for a house. I like saving money and living in a normal size home. No wonder I haven't been able to find homes there when I search with my criteria - lol.
Thanks,
Tam

Tell us about where you live now...what kind and size of house, what kind of neighborhood...what you like about it..what you don't like about it. That will help narrow down what will suit you best here.
