I was wondering if anyone had any "inside" info on this apartment complex. I'm currently living at 865 Bellevue & am looking to move somewhere a little more affordable--if not "newly remodeled". I like where they're situated & although they're a little on the quirky side design-wise, the buildings seem in good shape. I do plan on going over tomorrow to actually see what's available & what they look like inside. I've checked apartmentratings.com, but am wary, since people are more likely to complain than compliment.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I go by them every day, but I've never been inside a unit.

I'm guessing they're not a big improvement over 865, but I am just guessing. I lived at 865 years ago when they were called Knollwood. I can understand you wanting to move.

5 or 6 years ago I looked at them & LOVED the floor plans. I signed a lease with 2 other girls, the townhome we were looking at was 2,000 sq. ft & 3 stories, including the basement. It ended up not working out & we were unable to move in. One of the girls backed out & the other one decided to get married.

Management could have stuck me with the lease since I had already signed it but they were gracious & did not.

In addition, one of the girls had been given a key prior to the move-in date so she could paint. Management didn't charge me for that, they were completely understanding that I didn't have anything to do with it. They could have made me pay for it to be fixed & I will forever be grateful.

Bellevue has a ton of apartments, and pretty much all of them are decent except Iroquois. 865 Bellevue (formerly Knollwood) I would probably rank as second from the bottom. If you can get a good deal at Bellevue Heights, I'd say go for it.

Thanks! 865 sucked me in with their shiny new updates (lipstick on a pig as someone in another forum called it)--and though I really haven't had any issues with the place, I would just like to be able to pay for groceries & gas without selling my blood every month.

Plus, if I resign my lease, not only is my rent going up, but they're going to be charging us an additional $20-25 for the new "valet" trash removal they started a few months ago. We're not even given the option to take our own trash to the dumpster & NOT pay that fee. Ridiculous! I would expect to pay that much for trash if I owned a home, but not in an apartment! I'm in the wrong business.

I drove through Iroquois the other night & that was pretty scary.

My hope is to get one of the apts right on the hill & have a view again. I never thought I'd miss my apartment in Antioch--but it had a great view & wasn't an arm & a leg. Ok--so I witnessed a shooting, but who hasn't?

Still have a few other complexes I'm considering, but I thank y'all for the help!!

Well...if you're ever willing to try Antioch again after "the shooting incident" then look at Timberlake Village. I really can't say enough good things about that place, if I ever had to rent again I would move there in a quick second. I lived there for about three years, at first in a regular apartment & then in a townhome. It's located on an old farm & they didn't just cram as many buildings in there as they could, they left open space where you can play with your dogs or just lay in the grass & hang out...okay I was the only one that did that.

They did this at my apartments (Lakes of Bellevue) in Bellevue as well! Luckily, I'm not living there come March as I'm moving out of Nashville, but I thought it was ridiculous as well that you were not given the option of using it or not.

If you MUST live in an apartment in Antioch, this is the one to choose. However, it isn't "Antioch cheap" like Autumnwood or The Club at Hickory Hollow. It will probably run you about the same as a decent apartment in Bellevue.

It really was fabulous at the time I lived there, the worst I heard about was some car break-ins & that happens sooner or later at most apartments. Management would take all of the late rent fees & throw the BEST parties with plenty of food, liquor & hire a DJ. It's a great way to meet your neighbors & have community involvement, in fact I met my boyfriend at a Halloween party there.
