rental property from Nashvile to Cookvile (landlord, closing, to move)

Been browsing about a week, so here's my question:

Are garages common in the central TN market ?

I have a motorcycle with tools etc. that need to be out of the weather and secured. I am renting in Lincoln NE, paying $460 a month for a 2BR, w/detached garage. My rent is below market according to my landlord, so he can attract longtime tenents. I believe $550 to $650 is market for comparable.

Present plans are to move in July to the area. I've been laid off to to plant closing at Quebecor Lincoln.

Garages are pretty common around here; basement and above ground.

What is less common is for people to actually use them for their cars . . . people put lawn equipment, the kid's toys, boxes of magazines, wading pools, the pool table someone gave them, and an old television set that doesn't work in them instead.
