Default Considering Franklin or Pleasant View

My wife and I are considering moving to the Nashviille Area with our two daughters who are 4 and 7.We have considered both Pleasant View and Franklin.

It looks like I will be working downtown for the US Government. Does anyone have any recommendations in choosing one of these two areas.

Franklin is a real town, while Pleasant View is more of a community. Both are nice places to live; it would depend more on what you're looking for.

A couple of comments to start off:

Commute time would be somewhat comparable to downtown.

The schools in Franklin are probably ranked a bit higher than those in PV and there's more for kids to do there. PV is more rural, which has it's own advantages sometimes.

These two communities are very different. Alleycat is correct in that it depends on what you are looking for. Another factor will be on how much you want to spend. Franklin housing is considerably more expensive but has much to offer a family with children. You could probably decide which of these two areas you would want to live in fairly quickly by just visiting each one.
