Do you have children who will be in public school? Some of the schools here are excellent while others are questionable.
Another community outside town that is it's own community (with many commutors to Nashville for work) is Murfreesboro. It is about 30 miles south on I-24. The downtown area has great old Vicotorian homes near the University and I have a friend who just purchaed one for $130,000 in a prime location (2 bedroom/ 2 bath).

Inglewood
Is this a town or a part of Nashville ? Also could you give me a few other areas I should look at also ? Thanks Diane

Inglewood is in NE Nashville. Home prices range from the 150's up to 450k. The more expensive homes are right on the Cumberland River, with a beautiful view.
