Default White House/Pleasant View/Clarksville area

My parents and I live in Union City, in West Tennessee. We're thinking about moving to a different part of Tennessee for a change in life. We've been to Clarksville twice already and liked it there. We haven't been to White House, but read up on it, and seems to be little to no crime, and the people really friendly? Reasons we'd like these areas is so we're in or closer to bigger cities, with more chances for jobs/entertainment, etc., but still want a nice city to live in (low crime.) and also still be close enough to drive to Kentucky sometimes to get cheaper groceries, since we do that now at the Fulton, KY Wal-Mart. White House and Clarksville would take about 20 mins to get to the closest KY Wal-Mart, but Pleasant View would take about 36 mins. Currently we drive 30 mins to Fulton's. Yet Pleasant View is halfway between Clarksville and Nashville so they're both within a 30 min. radius. I liked the idea of being somewhat close to Goodlettsville and Hendersonville so we could easily go there if we wanted, without taking long to commute. It'd be four people moving there, so we need a 3 bedroom house. We're use to 3 acres of land, but willing to downsize to about an acre, but we don't want to feel like we've got neighbors everywhere. If anybody could let me know which one they think best suits my family, it'd be alot of help Thanks

Here are a few good ones I found by googling "White House TN Pics": white house tn pics - Google Image Search

I think White House would be an ideal choice for you. It's still small rural with very little crime, friendly people, etc., but you're about 15 minutes from Hendersonville and Goodlettsville and not too much further from Nashville if you want to get out and experience bigger city life. If I were looking for a "small country town" feel with the conveniences of a larger town, it would be my first choice.

wow thanks that sounds great, especially since the city we live in is 10,000 population, so it's very similiar in size, and we're use to driving about 20 mins to get into our own town, since we live out in the country.

I'm not questioning your opinion, but have you spent any time there, or just repeating something you're heard? If it's the latter, I might be able to offer some insights; I grew up there.
