How's the traffic around Hendersonville and Spring Hill?
Hey all, I'm wondering what the traffic is like getting to Hendersonville from Goodlettsville? and also what the traffic is like from Spring Hill to Franklin? and if there's any roads that would be less busy that u could take? besides the highways to and from. As I've noticed on the map there's a road that connects Spring Hill to Thompson's Station, and continues into Franklin, is this not as busy as the highway? Thanks for any input.

If you're driving from Franklin to SH you're going to encounter heavy traffic with any route you take - except MAYBE Carters Creek pike, but that's a little further out. The way the roads are, there's only three or four main roads that will take you there, not really any "back" way so to speak. I learned really fast that even if you are jammed on the expressway, it's quicker to just sit there than to find an alternate route (especially from Nashville to SH).
When my family moved to Tennessee 15 years ago (wow, it's been that long), it took about 15 minutes for us to get from Cool Springs to Saturn Parkway. I'd like to see anyone try that today.

Spring Hill to Franklin in the morning is a nightmare, as is Franklin to Spring Hill in the afternoon. Commuting between Hendersonville and Goodlettsville is much easier. The Vietnam Veterans bypass can get a little sluggish in places during rush hour, but nothing like I-65 between Franklin and SH.

I've seen on the Gigi's Cupcakes website, that there's suppose to be one coming to Hendersonville, does anyone know where it's going to be located?

sorry, i meant to insinuate that traffic is bad no matter what you do between Franklin and Spring Hill (and vice versa - you do plan on coming back right?), unless you plan on driving when people aren't going to school or work and leaving school or work, which is think is the middle of the night, or a four hour window between 10 am and 2 pm.
I had to drive between Columbia and Nashville to work for a year, by the end of it I decided to give up a car entirely and move somewhere I didn't need one. That's hot terrible the traffic was for me.

There isn't really traffic between Gville and Hville in the morning because you are going against the flow. You could take Gallatin Road, Long Hollow Pike to New Shackle or get on Vietnam Vets at conference drive. A lot would depend on where you are going and coming from...
Also, I don't know about Gigi's cupcakes but we have a cupcake shop here called Hello Cupcake! It's on Walton Ferry.

I'd say they were similar if you were going from Spring Hill to Franklin OR Hendersonville to Nashville. I've driven both many times at rush hour and those easily can be about the same, but that's not what you asked...Goodlettsville to Hendersonville will not be bad at all. And you've already heard about Spring Hill/Franklin from others.
