On our upcoming trip to Nashville we are looking for something other than your standard hotel to stay in.

We plan on touring the environs and want to have a central location as a base. We'll be traveling with a 5 year old so kid friendly is needed.

Historic is fun, walkable area, safe, or out in the boonies but really cool....

Any and all suggestions appreciated!

East Nashville has some wonderful B&Bs right in the heart of the city. I am on my phone or I would post links for you, a quick google search should do the trick.

There are also some B&B's around the Vandy/Belmont area. There look nice on the outside; I have no idea if kids are welcomed or not.

I was looking for a place for family once and thought this place looked cool. Kinda pricey, but cool.
