Smile Best places to run around Nashville/Running Clubs

Hi all!

I just moved to Nashville and am wondering where the best, safe (I'm a SF), areas to run are (besides Centennial Park). Ideally, I'm looking for places that have trails/grass and aren't paved--soft surfaces are just better for my knees. Are there any accessible dirt roads?

Also, are there any good running clubs around Nashville?

Thanks in advance!

My husband belongs to the Nashville Striders running club. He really likes it. They have their own message board so someone over there may have advice on trails.

The Warner Parks on the southwestern side of town are what you're looking for. Here's a link.
Other than that, there's all those "greenways" in the smaller parks, which I don't really care for.
If you want to get a little more out of town and go for more of an adventure, then drive out to the Natchez Trace, also SW of town off of Hwy. 100. There's a lot of nice old trails out there.
