You can pick your own right off the plant at a farm south of Franklin. My family went there last year near the end of the season.

Vine Hill Farm - strawberries
2088 Lewisburg Pike, Franklin, TN 37064. Moderator cut: too much like advertising, sorry
This web site has all the places you can pick your own food.
Where to find pick your own farms and orchards in middle Tennessee, including the Nashville area, for fruit, vegetables, pumpkins and Christmas trees.

Yep, best way to get great strawberries is to find a pick-your-own farm. It's a lot of fun, actually. Nice date idea and a lot of fun for the kids. Sneaking in one or two while you're doing it is the way to go, too.

No better way to support local business, either. And a much better deal than farms who hire out illegal immigrants to pick for them, too.

There are several local farms that have pick-your-own strawberries or other stands in the Nashville area: one in Williamson County in Franklin (Vine Hill Farms), one in Cheatham County in Ashland City (T&T Strawberry Farms), and two in Lebanon (Circle S and Pratt's Orchard).

Here's a link to pick-your-own fruit in Tennessee:

and to veggies:
