Default Moving To Tennessee from Ontario,Canada

Can anyone recommend some areas to check out that would be about an hour commute to Hopkinsville? We are considering a job offer in Hopkinsville,Ky and we will be down in about three weeks to look at the area. In my research, I came across Hendersonville but I'm afraid it might be too long of a commute esp.with traffic.
We have three kids from 4-9 yrs so a GREAT school is a must.
We would also like a neighbourhood with sidewalks.....and obviously low crime rates.

If you live on the Sumner County side of Goodlettsville you will have EXCELLENT schools.

Madison Creek and Beech Elementary are among the best in the county and Beech High School is great as well.
There are several new subdivisions under construction along Long Hollow Pike and Caldwell Ln. Caldwell is a beautiful area with rolling hills, 12 stones golf course, and the nice, historic Mansker Park. Homes are a bit pricey, though. The Beech school district is highly desired and new homes usually start around 200,000 and go up into the millions in gated communities like 12 Stones.

If you want cheaper consider White House about 10 miles further north and you'll still get the good Sumner Co School system.

Greenbrier is a nice area...much more rural than Goodlettsville and Hendersonville. The schools are not quite as good, but not necessarily bad. Homes will be much cheaper there too.

Goodletsville is part of the Metro Nashville Public school system. You might be better off looking in Clarksville, it is much closer to Hoptown than Goodletsville.

That is NOT true. Only the Davidson County portion of Goodlettsville attends Metro Schools. Most of Goodlettsville's residential population lives in SUMNER CO and attends Sumner CO Schools.

Canada, Clarksville is the Tennessee 'Sister' city to Hopkinsville. About a 30 - 45 minute drive depending on where you live in Clarksville.

Clarksville makes much more sense than Nashville. The daily commute to Hoptown from Nashville would be very long, and gas prices will start going up again.

Clarksville also has a more diverse population than much of Tennessee and has a more transient population and a population more used to people coming and going from different parts of the world due to the military base (Ft. Campbell) at Clarksville.

Thanks for all the info...there are so many variables to consider when choosing a new home so far away! I really appreciate all the feedback!! I need todo some more research. I think we'll be down in a few weeks and I'd like to have it narrowed down to three areas to check out.
Can anyone recommend a good dance studio in Clarksville...Hendersonville....and Goodlettsville?

Thanks again!
