Alternatives to Franklin/Brentwood
Hello, I originally posted this in the general TN forum but thought I'd move it over here...
My Fiance and I are looking to move closer to his job in Franklin. We currently live 45 min away and were looking at moving to Franklin/Brentwood but noticied the majority of the apartments were pricey. We are currently looking at Spring Hill, but would I like to know if there are any other areas you could recommend.
Thanks!!!

I don't know what is there as far as apartments, but you might look at Nolensville. It is fairly close, but the prices are probably considerably less. Are there any other places besides Franklin that either of you will need to be commuting?

Did you check out The Landings in Brentwood-I don't know how much they are but quite a few people from my work live there...otherwise if Franklin is too expensive then I think the next closest alternative would be Nippers Corner (Edmondson Pike and Old Hickory Blvd-"Brentioch"). Don't know about South of Franklin, I just know the traffic sux down there.

You can probably find a nice house to rent in Columbia for less than an apartment in Spring Hill. There area also a lot of houses for rent in Spring Hill/Thompson's Station.

You might be able to spot some affordable rentals in Lenox Village area. It's in 37211.

While there are lots of similarities in housing among the satellite cities like Franklin, Brentwood, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet, Smyrna, LaVergne, Lebanon, Gallatin, Goodlettsville/Madison, Bellvue, etc., there are distinct personalities among them.
Hmmm, what am I trying to say? Maybe it will help to make an analogy with cars for each. I'll take a stab based on what I see lots of in each town (SUV's correlate to family areas): Franklin -- Chevy/GMC Suburban; Brentwood -- Range Rover; Hendersonville -- Toyota 4-Runner/Sequoia; Mt. Juliet -- Ford Explorer/Expedition; Smyrna -- (duh!) Nissan Pathfinder; Nolensville -- Armada and Suburban; Lebanon -- ?? Ford F150??; Goodlettsville/Madison -- Chevy Acadia/Blazer; Bellvue (don't get there often enough to know).
Anyone else got other suggestions.
