What is a good, nice, reasonably priced restaurant in Cool Springs?

there is just about every chain imaginable in Cool Springs. For more local restuarants venture to the Factory for Saffire or downtown Franklin for Sol or Red Pony if you want a splurge, Pucketts in downtown Franklin is very reasonably priced. There do not seem to be a lot of locally owned restaurants in cool springs

I agree....other than a couple of good thai restaurants, we haven't found anything special in the cool springs area. But once you venture into franklin there are LOTS of good places ranging from Dotson's (don't look at the decor, just look at the pie) to the very nice Red Pony.
