In New England lots of farms have ice cream stands that are generally only open in the summer. They only have outdoor seating and are usually destinations that draw people from all over. Usually they make their own ice cream with really high fat content that is to die for.

Growing up my family went to an ice cream stand the next town over at least 4 times a week for a cone in the summer. Some of my best summer memories as a teenager involve hanging out at the ice cream stand.

None as you describe in the area that I'm aware of.

no they don't really have that sort of thing down there. They had one for a while in Spring Hill but it closed down for lack of business.

i don't think there's any ice cream trucks either.

probably just easier to stay inside and eat store bought ice cream since it's so hot there, ha!

not like that, but you do have to go to las paletas for mexican popsicles. it's on 12 south. There's no sign in the funky modern looking building, and as soon as you walk in...there's nothing in there but a couple of freezers. But everyone knows about it.

In regard to supernerdgirl's comment about ice cream trucks, YES, we most certainly have them in Nashville proper. They come around all year, even in the Winter & they drive around until it's dark.

As far as a "Farm" having an ice cream stand, I'm not sure. But the Pied Piper Creamery located at 114 South 11th Street in East Nashville makes their own ice cream & has outdoor seating. It really really is to die for & has been featured on TN Crossroads. I suggest trying the trailer trash as it's a mix of a lot of different goodies.

It isn't ice cream, but I was told Nashville's will be getting a Culver's. Frozen custard is a different animal, but it's yummy. Fattening as all get out, but yummy.

We get our homemade ice cream fix at Sip Cafe in Riverside Village (McGavock and Riverside) in Inglewood. We think it is better than Pied Piper.

Bobbie's Dairy Dip on Charlotte Pike near Richland Park is pretty good.

Ok, well, I lived in Columbia, and there was no such thing.
