Default Dentist ADAM DIASTI

Has anyone ever been seen by Dr. ADAM DIASTI in Murfreesboro? Do you know if they treat children? I am looking for a new family dentist who is good with kids.

I take my son to Jeanne Taylor at Welcome, Preventative Dentistry, Comprehensive Dentistry, Brentwood Dental Pediatrics, Brentwood, TN

I go to Dr. Richard Sullivan at http://www.tennesseedentist.com. MY FAVORITE DENTIST EVER, and I have bad teeth and gums, so I get LOTS of dental work.

I have no idea why I can't get the italics off!

Thanks, we live in Smyrna, but wouldnt mind driving for a good dentist. We only have a dental plan and pediatric dentists are considered specialists and are alot more expensive than a family dentist.

Parents were NOT allowed to come back at all "policy" and we started getting reports from our older children about being snapped at with "oh that didnt hurt" instead of caring what they were saying.

Additionally, they ALWAYS recommended that my kids needed MORE work each time.... the dentist we go to now that I recommended above is SO SO Nice and cares about the kids and does not do anything to the kids that isnt absolutely necessary. They listen to the parents and kids and we feel like they CARE. This wasnt the case with Taylors office.

We also asked for a WHITE filling for our 3 year old at her office and she came out with the amalgram silver filling... we were so pissed off and she made some excuse like she thought there wasnt enough surface area for the white to hold. Which is compleely a lie to cover their mistake. Read about it now and you will see soon all dentists will be using the white exclusively for many reasons.... its a superior product and doesnt contain mercury.

Oh, and can I mention their BILLING is completely screwy. They have NO way to give an estimate that is worth anything to know what you will pay in the end... then you get bills for different amounts. Very poor billing and estimating and everything.

the dentist I mentioned above gives you a clean and nicely computerized statement that is completely accurate and what you will pay. Actually the last time we were there my 3 year old had a silver cap put on one molar and I knew exactly what I was going to pay going into the procedure and it ended up being $65 less because they didnt have to do one thing they thought they might in the beginning. Thats honesty. I feel like I was nickel and dimed to death with no good understanding of what was done or what I was paying for with the Taylor office...

Try it once... I think you will see how much better they are than your current situation. We went to taylors for probably close to 2 years as we just kept getting the feeling something wasnt right and why was it always so difficult and expensive with them. It was when my oldest daughter was back there with my 3 year old that she came out telling us how the staff was treating her with comments about "that doesnt hurt" etc... the straw that broke the camels back.

completely infuriating as a parent to think your child is back there alone and with a dentist who lacks compassion.

Oh, and its not just us. We even recommended Taylors office in the beginning to another family of 3 children.. .they have been going for a while as we have and we started hearing similar complaints from them as well... mostly about billing issues, but they are less discerning about the other complaints as we are but agreed they didnt feel quite right and always were told the kids needed more work (ie. they wanted more money)

We are on Delta Dental. There is no problem for us at either of the places mentioned. They honor them like any dentist.

I'm so surprised to hear those things about Jeanne Taylor. I have nothing but great experiences. I get to go back, but my son is 13 months, and the older one has never complained. I have been to other dentists in the area who gave my older son CANDY! Not that he can't ever have candy, but as a treat from the dentist! Dr. Taylor also got me a next day appointment with a very hard to book oral surgeon at Vanderbilt, Dr. McKenna.

As for billing, the only screwy thing I ever had happen was they actually sent me almost $100 back for overpayment. I didn't even necessarily think I had overpaid, but I guess it had added up. Maybe that was a turning point in their billing practices.

I do have firsthand experience with Dr. Sullivan since I am the patient. All his hygienists are great. I always see the same one (and I'm so terrible I don't even know her name). Dr. Sullivan is quick and painless. I had to have a wisdom tooth removed, and I was pregnant at the time, so he did it with just a shot of novocaine and it was over before I knew it. I see children in there, so he must do children as well. His father was actually my husband's dentist when he was a child.

Thanks everyone, I took my kids to snodgrass & king in Hermitage. I wasn't allowed to go with them, but they always went together and never complained. I have GE Wellness(I think it changed to signiture) dental plan and was told that Snodgrass is expensive because they specialized in children. So I'm trying to find a family friendly dentist in our area and not many take the plan so I was wondering about Dr. Diasti in Murfreesboro. I still wouldn't mind driving further for a good honest and child friendly dentist.

I will never use Snodgrass and King again. We've used Dr. Smiley downtown Nashville and she was wonderful.
