Very true, as time go by I'm sitting around thinking "how can this guy be so selfish, reckless, and stupid"????
36yr old, married, 4kids, well respected as a public figure, role model for lots of kids, and the list goes on and on...... cheating on his wife with a 20yr old Dave & Busters waitress , and I'm hearing this isn't the first time he's done it.

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions and judge (but, this is the norm for Southerners!)...Some sources say McNair and his wife had been seperated for 2 years.

It is very unfortunate for his wife and kids, I'm am very saddened by McNair's death because without him the Titans wouldn't be where they are as a franchise. But after I first heard of his death, they released very little information, I was relieved that this wasn't something random, or some type of robbery and that McNair actually may of contributed to someone wanting to hurt him. It may sound crazy to some, but I was relieved that spontaneous murders weren't being committed downtown in the daytime.

Sounds an awful lot like a drug deal gone bad to me. Lets face it, the guy was no choir boy.

Yes, drug deal gone bad is what I was thinking too. When the girl was pulled over 2 days prior in his/her Escalade which was in both their names, she refused the breathalyzer and said she "wasnt drunk she was high" and they let Steve take a taxi home.
The crime of passion scenario seems a little too hollywood for me. He is sitting up in his couch dead with multiple shots and she is on the ground with one bullet to the head near the gun? How staged. Granted this is how it would have happened if it were a real "If I cannot have you then no one will!" murder-suicide, but again, you read about the girls personality and such from her employer and people who knew her and it doesnt add up to this scenario.
The ex-boyfriend/roommate of 4 years or whatever, possibly has to have more knowledge in this than he his admitting and while it was fairly clear there was an affair going on, it is unclear which bullets came from what gun, or where the powder marks are from firing it, and the angles of the entry wounds.
The police know what is going on and they typically let the public know and believe the obvious (i.e. murder-suicide crime of passion) scenario as that is helping them have the freedom to work the case.
The whole crime scene sounds like it is just too staged. This should get very interesting.

Ballistics and powder residue should tell the story. If she fired the gun print patterns and powder residue will reveal that. If the gun was placed in her hand after she was shot, the print patterns won't be consistent with someone who had held the gun.
It's more likely that the drug dealer they were dealing with got greedy, shot them and made off with the cash. It's a pretty common thing actually. You just don't hear about it unless it's someone newsworthy.

Norfleet said" they’d been speaking a lot recently and she planned to break it off with McNair. He said she banged on his apartment door early Saturday morning, but she left before he could get to the door. He spent much of Saturday afternoon looking for her and trying to find out if she was the woman who died with McNair." Yea right, stay tuned.......

Glad that this has come to a close. IMO she just "snapped" after learning there was another women in his life. At least it all went down while he was asleep from what has been stated.
