Default Where to buy pink salt

I'm gonna try my hand at making homemade bacon and I need some pink salt.

It is also called sodium nitrite or Prague Powder #1.

The folks at Kroger's & Food Lion look at me like I'm stupid when I ask for it.

You could try calling it Curing Salt?

Go to a meat market and ask them where you could find it.

This reminds me of my quest to buy Large Pearl Tapioca last summer. I went to six stores before I found it. Every single store employee would lead me to the instant tapioca pudding even after I would say, "I don't want instant tapioca pudding."

Good Luck!

I just googled it to see if there was a mail order place. AmericanSpice.com has it.

The only "pink salt" that I am familiar with is the Himalayan Pink salt. It's kind of pricey. You might want to check out Bulk Culinary and Sea Salt and see if that's what you are looking for. They have the best price that I could find.
