Question What if . . . top three . . .

you were relocating to Nashville, husband's job was just north of the airport (Donelson area) and you have an 8 & 10 year old ~~ schools are #1 priority, commute time and safety round out the other priorities. Looking at price range up to possibly $275K (tops!).

What would be your top 3 locations, based on schools, commute and safety? (Our house was broken into last year - we are still a little edgy with the security thing )

Thank you so much for your help -

Nancy

I'll throw out Mt. Juliet. Possibly Hendersonville, although the commute time might be a deal killer.

My first thought would be Hendersonville too.

You might try Nolenville, as yiu can pick up 24 off of Burkett Road, which becomes Okd Hickory Blvd. You pick UP Burkett off of Nolenville Road.
It is Williamson County Schools(make sure it says that) I did a search, and found even some new subdivisions in your price range. Bent Creek for one.

I would buy in Donelson, and send my kids to Donelson Christian Academy.

Your husband would be close to work, your kids would be in a good school, and the home are nice in that area.

Donelson Christian Academy

Mt. Juliet schools are pretty good and the area is really growing. Living in Donelson and having the kids go to DCA is a good idea, if you can afford the tuition. Private school tuition has been rising very steadily the last few years.

Hendersonville could be an option, but like alleycat said, the commute (30-40 minutes) would be a deal-killer probably.

Hendersonville between Saunder's Ferry / Indian lake Village or Franklin near I-65, probably close to Mack Hatcher so the drive-time commute was "interstate close." Both areas are performing well in your price range, so should offer you a stable investment as well as an excellent quality of life.

Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville are both great areas for families. Mt. Juliet has far superior proximity to the airport/Donelson area.

Mt. Juliet for the location and the growth it has shown or you could look in the Old Hickory area that wouldn't be a bad choice either
