Default Why are there so many teaching jobs in Nashville?

I, am interested in teaching in Nashville. My biggest question is why are there so many jobs available? Is there a high turnover of teachers and if so why? Would I want my own children to attend school there? I currently work in an inner city school in Ft. Wayne, IN and while we have problems with violence and gangs I have never felt unsafe and I just wonder if Nashville is similar and people there just aren't use to Urban schools or if it's more a lack of follow through on the administative end. I can handle the kids as long as I am backed up by my administrators and Principal and they are consistent with discipline for poor behavior. Any advice is welcome before I consider moving my family there.
