Default relocating advice (hermitage/mt juliet area)

i'm trying to find information about relocating to the area.

it seems in murfreesboro, trash is picked up weekly and paid by your taxes? is this true in all areas? or is this paid for by the HOA?

is there a great website that lists all available utility companies?

for those that have lived there, are there any companies to avoid? i know some have better reputations than others.

Mt. Juliet resident here...

As with most places, your utilities are largely dictated by where your residence is. I can't swear it's the same everywhere in town but generally, you'll have Nashville Electric Service or Middle Tennessee Electric for electricity, Piedmont for gas, Comcast for cable, West Wilson Utility for water, TDS for local phone and the city for sewer.

Trash is not done by the city, you have to (get to?) pick your own and pay for it separately. Figure plus-minus $20 a month, depending on who you choose and how often the pickups are.
