Does it really get that bad there? I thought Nashville had less humidity than the east coast. At least according to the weather map of relative humidity.

The map lies.
Well, maybe not, but it's not uncommon in August to get lots of days over 90 along with really high humidiy--heat indexes over 100.

I think it's all relative. I discourage my Michigander parents from visiting in the summer because they'd wilt. However, I lived in Memphis for awhile and spent a lot of time in Houston and Nashville feels wonnnnnnnnnnderful compared to those places.
I was home yesterday and took advantage of the rare weekday home and ran a ton of errands...didn't notice anything unusual.

Now that TDOT is flush with stimulus money, I consider a Code Orange Alert to mean they're going to be tearing up another road the next day, so watch out for orange barrels.
Of course, I could be wrong. ;-)

It has been a mild spring & summer this year. Feels like fall already too.
