I noticed that land one either side of the little bridge off of Almaville between I think Morton and Inez is being cleared. Anybody know if this is part of the widening of Almaville I heard about? If so, anybody know how far they plan to widen it?

The bridge project is being funded by the stimulus money Tennessee received; thus the recovery.org signs there. I don't think there are any immediate plans to widen Almaville in the near future, unfortunately. When they do, they will likely widen it all the way to 840.

Have you seen the proposed plans for the Lynnwood development that will be located off Almaville near Burnt Knob and Independent Hill Rd? It calls for re-routing Almaville quite a bit. The developer tried to get Smyrna to annex the area a few years ago and offered to pay for the sewer expansion himself, but Smyrna said the state wasn't planning to widen Almaville for another 10 years at least and turned them down. Now he's trying to get the project greenlit thru the county instead.

Someone had told me about the widening of Almaville a couple months ago. They either had been to some type of commission meeting or knew someone who had gone to one.
I haven't seen those plans for Lynnwood. Where do they want to have Almaville re-routed?

The developers want to reroute Almaville around the Stonewood subdivision and bring it through the heart of Lynnwood. Burnt Knob would then be extended out to intersect with Almaville. Not sure what to think about it as I haven't seen actual plans or specs yet. The development will be a mixed use planned community much like Lenox Village.

Almaville Road is a state route - SR-102 - and as far as I know and can discern from TDOT's website, there are no plans to widen it in the immediate future.
