My friend is learning to drive and she is planning to take road test at Franklin, TN test center.
Can some one tell how strict is that center?
Do they take candidates on Highway for testing? (I-65 is closer to center)

Any other info or review would help

Thanks

I took my friend to test this summer. She drove down Murfreesboro Rd a few lights, turned around, and came back to test center.

As for strictness, it must depend on the instructor, because I've heard both extremes.

Good luck!

It depends on the tester. Generally, you need to drive in such a manner that indicates that you know the traffic laws and can handle the car safely(i.e., don't roll through stop signs, use your turn signal when appropriate, accelerate/decelerate safely, don't text or use your cell phone, follow at appropriate distance, look before changing lanes, don't go over the speed limit nor to far under it, make sure mirrors are adjusted properly before driving, use seat belt). I have heard that some testers will have you parallel park as well as have you go through a round-a-bout.
If you know the laws, have sufficient practice driving, and use common sense there should be no problems. Good luck!

U-turns are illegal in Franklin. Seriously. I learned that in traffic school, and my neighbor just got a ticket for it.

Well, from what I see driving through Williamson County and working in Franklin Monday thru Friday, it can't be that hard because I honestly wonder how some of the idiots I see on a daily basis even got their license. Putting on makeup in the vanity mirror while driving, messing around with their kids in the back seat, changing lanes without checking mirrors, texting or on cell phone, not yielding the right of way, pulling out into traffic causing everyone to slam on brakes to slow down 20mph because they don't want to wait until it's clear, TAILGATING (I drive about 8mph over the speedlimit and still these people are on my butt), no turn sigals. It seems that everyone is too busy doing other things to actually DRIVE THEIR CAR SAFELY around here. I guess once they pass the test all of their road knowledge leaves their brain.
