Default Hendersonville

We'll be relocating to the Nashville area this summer, and I've been looking at real estate online. I know that the Franklin area comes highly recommended by many members of this board, but I'm finding several very nice homes in the Hendersonville area. Can someone give me more information about Hendersonville? I love the idea of being near the lake...it looks lovely. Thanks!

There's been several posts about Hendersonville in the past couple of months. You might do a search (using the toolbar above) and read a few of the existing threads, then come back with any specifics questions you have. There's one or two people on this forum who actually live in Hendersonville, or elsewhere in Sumner County.

Hendersonville is a great place to live. It is only 25minutes North of Nashville. It is a growing community and very family oriented.

If you Moderator cut: realtor solicitation

Great place to raise a family. Moved here 10 years ago to give my children a better place to grow up. Chose this area over Franklin. Franklin/Brentwood area reminded me too much of the rat race I wanted to leave behind (Southern California). Until recently the community like being the quiet community on the lake. Now it's growing like crazy. Good schools and lots of friendly folks. What exactly are you looking for?

Thanks for your responses. To answer your question, hville, the idea of a friendly lake-oriented community is exactly what we're looking for. We're looking for something in the $250,000-$325,000 range. We need a decent-sized fenced yard for children and pets and, while I'm dreaming, a view of the lake would be lovely. Does this sound like a possibility?

We were really liking Hville until some people started posting about the Dam problem. That has scared us off Hville, so now we are looking at other areas to retire, can't afford to deal with a flooded home at this age in life.
