The Stones River Hunter Education Center is an outdoor range. It's only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Here's the link: Stones River Hunter Education Center Hobson Pike Gun Target Rifle Range SRHEC Nashville Lavergne (http://www.tnoutdoorsmen.com/srhec.htm - broken link)

I don't know how close you are to I-24, but On Target in Smyrna is a nice one. It's near the intersection of I-24 and Hwy 96. Just down the street from the Jim and Nick's BBQ if you know where that is.

You could also do a Google search, just putting in "shooting ranges Nashville TN" and it will list the ranges and show where they are on the map. You have to be selective, of course, but it could be helpful to you.

There used to be a gun store in LaVergne that had an indoor range. Sorry, I can't remember the name of the place offhand. That would be within the area you're looking.

Gun City USA has a range on Mufreesboro Rd that is okay. It's not especially great...but it's a range. If you don't mind the drive, there's a good one in Greenbriar...I think it's called Guns and Leather.

The range at Guns N' Leather is computerized. It's a very nice range, but expensive. There is an indoor range in Joelton that isn't bad. We mostly go to the Stones River range. None of the indoor ranges allow magnum rounds or rifles. Stones River also has a 200 yard rifle range.

Stones River is considered a family range, so they only allow bulls-eye targets. No silhouettes or photos of the ex allowed. Don't want to give the kids the wrong idea.

Funny...but true.

Good to know they also have a rifle range. I didn't know that...and good point about the indoor ranges not allowing shotguns or rifles.
