Hi everybody, this forum looks like there have a ton of posts, too much to go through everything though. From what I've reviewed so far, it looks like good areas are Bellevue, Brentwood, Hendersonville, Mt. Juliet, Franklin, and Hermitage? Stay away from Antioch, Bordeaux, Dickerson Pike.

We're planning to move to the Nashville area in January/February when my husband gets out of the Air Force. We have three small boys who are 5, 3, and 1. We would like to find good schools, good daycare, and a good family neighborhood where the kids can play at the park, etc. We don't have a ton of money though so places like Belle Meade are definitely out of the question. What would be your recommendations? Thanks in advance for all your assistance, it looks like everybody here is great at pitching in and offering.

where will you be working? that makes a huge difference. There are nice family neighborhoods in Franklin in the high 100s/low 200s. Spring Hill might be an option depending on where you are working. Mt. Juliet and Sumner County are also worth considering

Septimus, thanks for the quick reply. I currently work in the hospital, have done admissions and now work as the office assistant for the sleep center. I have my bachelors in health care management, so probably in one of the hospitals or medical centers. My husband thought about applying with the police department, but that's really like going from one heart attack to the next for me. He loves doing car repair though and there is always somebody's in our garage, so we'll see. Any hospitals or medical centers that are better to work for than others down there?

I really like Hendersonville and live there. Good schools, commute is about 35-45 minutes to downtown/West End (where most of the hospitals are). There are also plenty of local medical professionals here and you might be able to find something closer to home. My mother-in-law runs a day care center that is highly rated in Hendersonville, so if you move into this area, send me a message and I'll give you some info about it.
