Hello, we are moving to Nashville 7/1 and are in search of a 1-2 bedroom apartment for $600-900 that is pet friendly. We would like something in East Nashville (near 5 Points), near Vanderbilt, or Downtown. Please let me know if you have anything or are aware of anything.

Thanks!
Carissa

I'll keep looking.

Thanks. I think I am going to go with the east side. Seems cheaper and more my kind of neighborhood. We are going down there 5/23 to look around. Thanks for the help!

i don't want to sound negative, but i did not like east nashville at all. While there are many pockets of nice areas with old historic homes, i thought the main street there, gallitan road, was run down and seedy. On almost every corner there was a pawn shop, a check cashier, a liquor store, and a tobbaco store. There was overgrown weeds and graffitti everywhere. Many places had burglar bars on the windows. It made me depressed just to drive there.

Just wanted to let you know in advace so you can have a back up plan, but maybe you don't mind the above things.
good luck

Hmmm, I just did a YellowPages.com search on 37206, and did not find any pawn shops in that area. Yes, there's a liquor store, thats not an odd thing to find in any city.

What part of East Nashville are you referring to?

soon as you leave downtown by the stadium on gallitan...for the next 5-7 miles on gallitan until you get up near the mall.

You have not seen the hundreds of pawn shops, check cashiers, liquor stores on gallitan road/gallitan pike. Gee i must of been imagining things.

also, if you go to the nashville police website and look at their interactive crime map, you will see east nashville is infested with crime.
