Default Vacation to Tennessee

My fiancee, a couple of friends and I are planning on visiting Nashville and Memphis (with preference over Nashville) in February or April.

I'm looking to see if anyone knows which month may be better to go in (we have to go one of these 2 months) and what things may be going on (any specific festivals, etc.)?

Thanks!!!
-Dan

April is generally a nicer month weather-wise. That's also about the time when more events start to be on the schedule. My vote would definitely be for April over February.

I agree with Alleycat. Your chances of good days in April are much better than February. There's lots of things to check out outside...so my vote is April.

Too bad you can't make Memphis in May. But definitely, I agree that April is your better bet. As you approach your trip and know your exact dates, check out the Nashville Scene's website: www.nashvillescene.com and Metromix nashville.metromix.com for Nashville. Check out the equivalent Memphis alternative, the Flyer: Memphis Flyer
