I want to go to a skating rink to practice my inline skating and this place has a 21+ night tonight (I'm not crazy about skating around little kids).

Ok, so I went up there-my friends and I are white and were definitely the minority there just fyi. I never realized anyone but white people skated lol. But I felt REALLY white because everyone in there besides us were phenomenal skaters, going backwards, spinning around, grooving to the music (mainly R&B and funky dance music-R Kelly, Marvin Gaye, I didn't know the others-some from the 80s, Michael Jackson). They DID NOT play the hokey pokey-guess that's a corny white thing to do, I don't know . The crowd was cool, older, friendly-I'll go back!

I remember when the Rivergate Rink was a cool place to go but they built a new Rink in Hendersonville a few years ago and I don't think as many people go to the Rivergate one anymore.

It's not a real skating rink if the last song they play at the end of the night isn't Boyz II Men's "End of the Road."

the most dangerous part of Rivergate rink is trying to get on (or off for that matter) the rink when a fast song comes on...those skaters are ruthless!
