You might also check A1 Appliances out between Belle Meade and Bellevue. It's right where Hwy 100 and Hwy 70 split. They often put floor models on clearance. Or...you could call them first to see if they have any.

There's a Sears outlet on Thomson Lane that sells slightly damaged appliances. I bought an originaly priced $1000 Kenmore refridgerator for about $525 (including tax). You have to look for the heavily discounted deals though.

HH Gregg also has an outlet center in Madison. I haven't checked it out yet. I have also seen appliances at the Essex stores. I haven't bought anything at the Sears outlet in a couple years (and unfortunately I buy a lot of appliances for investment properties) because I've found better deals at HH Gregg, Home Depot and Lowes. There's no one store that's always the best. I search online and find the best deal. I think Electronics Express has been having good deals on appliances but my last purchase was timed with the HH Gregg closing at Hickory Hollow so I bought a floor model. I did just buy a front load washer/dryer set at Best Buy - and I haven't bought appliances there in years, but the sale was too good to pass ($700 for pair of LGs). Best Buy usually has a lot of open box too, and you can ask if they have more in the back.

Actually, craigslist sometimes has pretty new appliances too. My friend got front load washer and dryer with pedestals for $650. I paid $300 for my pedestals
