Yes, but only if you add something new whenever you bump an old thread so I have something to read when I click on it.

Okay, I’m game. Let’s try in three’s (for no particular reason):
BBQ: Carl’s Perfect Pig BarBQue & Grill in White Bluff. AaaaMazing. So worth the drive.
Cheap Mexican: Oscar’s Taco Shop. Couple locations. Legit SoCal rolled tacos.
Italian: Café Nonna in Sylvan Park. Great hole-in-the-wall with excellent food.

LOVE Oscar's. The location across from CHS is so convenient, too. The shrimp tacos are ridiculous.

No one has mentioned Wild Ginger. Too expensive for everyday lunch/dinner, but we love it for a splurge.

Yes! I always feel like I'm out of town when I eat at Wild Ginger.

No offense to Nashville, of course.

Unfortunately, while the food is good, it's not worth the cruddy service you receive. I once had to wait 45 minutes to get a glass of water refilled. Maybe it's better now.

If you are feeling froggy i suggest trying one of their signature mixed drinks...they are pretty tasty.
I second this! GREAT food. We stopped in 55 South one day because every other restaurant in downtown Franklin was packed, and the food was to die for!

I agree. They have the best barbecue I have ever eaten!

Another authentic meat & three I haven't seen mentioned yet:
Barbara's Home Cookin' in Franklin off Old Hillsboro Rd. The food is very good and their cobblers are excellent!

I second the one post about Silly Goose! I also like Nuvo Burrito in E. Nashville.
These food posts are great, keep the list coming!

Outside oif Nashville, but nice for a fun day out. Drive down to Lynchburg and have lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Boarding House. Excellent southern cooking, served "Boarding House" style. Call ahead, you must have a reservation and there is rarely a vacant seat for "walk-ins". After lunch walk around the square or tour the Jack Daniels Distillery.
