What about commuting from Nashville (near vanderbilt) TO murfreesboro? Does it take as long as the other way around?

It's still a long drive in terms of miles, but there shouldn't be any traffic slow-downs unless there's an accident.

Going from Nashville to M'Boro during the morning shifts is not that bad. However, getting onto 24 from 40 takes a while during the rush hours (thanks to the people going towards Memphis etc). But, once you get onto 40, you'll be there in no time!

IMHO, the less time spent on any roadway in Nashville the better. Horrible drivers, daily accidents. That's not even counting the non stop construction in one area or another. No thanks. Mark my words. The closer you are to school, work, whatever - the better.
