Someone PM me about this. This is my answer which might be useful.

There are a lot of Asian groceries here. The big one is probably K&S Market which actually has two branches (same owner).

The first one is on Nolensville roads, http://nashville.citysearch.com/prof...ld_market.html (broken link)

The second one is on Charlotte Pike, http://nashville.citysearch.com/prof...rporation.html (broken link)

There are also several Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Laotians groceries that I visit sometime. If you want to know more, please let me know.

There are a lot of Vietnamese, Laotians, Thais, Chineses, Japaneses, and Koreans in Middle TN although there is no distinct Asian area that I can think of.

By the way I don't think we have good Chinese restaurant that has good Dim Sum or roast duck here, so you might need to drive to Atlanta or Memphis (which I do often) for that.

The Inter Asian Market, InterAsian Market & Deli, Inc., posted by samx is pretty good too. I go there pretty often. They have good crispy roasted pork on the weekend, but you have to be there early

There's some Asian grocery stores I know of, but I can't say whether they're any good or not. For example, there's one called Orient Mart on Charlotte near White Bridge Road.

One idea . . . I think the Wild Oats market in Green Hills carries a variety of asian foods; that might be an option.

Asians are less than 3% of metro nashville and less than 1% in the surrounding counties. I wouldn't expect to find that much. I was there this summer visiting a friend in Bellevue. The only thing I saw was a few indian people and falafel store here or there in the malls.

These links are not working. Could you please tell me the address or how to get to these Asian groceries?

Thanks.

Just bring up a Google map for Nashville, TN. Then key in these two addresses in the "Search Maps" box:

4225 Nolensville Pike

5871 Charlotte Pike

You will then have a handy map that shows exactly where these places are (assuming they're still there).

Default Wang's Enterprises

There's a little hidden gem called Wang's Enterprises located at 1309 3rd Avenue North in the Germantown neighborhood just North of downtown.

I only discovered it when my office relocated right across the street. They appear to be a distributor in addition to having a retail store.

Here is a link to a blog that describes it as the best place in town for Chinese ingredients: Lannae's Food and Travel: February 2007
