Please help studio apt for Nurse at Vanderbilt living alone (Memphis: real estate, apartment)

My husband and I are relocating to Nashville within the year. We are from East Memphis and need to sell our house. We plan to put our home on the market Spring 2011. We are finishing remodeling a kitchen and bath.

I have a job that I love at Vanderbilt and plan to work full time and live in a studio apt until we move and buy a home. We have 2 Great Danes that will stay with my husband in Memphis. I am currently staying with my sister but this arrangement can't be permanent due to her work, school and dating schedule.

My most promising find is a studio at 380 Harding Apartment Homes for $430/month. However, the scant reviews on City data don't look good.

I have not had much luck with Craigs list. A garage apartment while common in Memphis seems the oddity in Nashville.

Roommate situation would not be out of the question. However, I thought that having a long distance hubby would be unattractive to potential roommates.

Try realtracs.com. It's a real estate search site but they have a rental section and you can search by price, area, etc. And most have pictures.
