Greetings all! I have been reading your posts for some 3-4 yrs ocasionally piping up here and there. Our search started in Knoxville, then Signal Mountain and finally the Franklin area. Thank you all for your insider info over the years. Love it! can't wait to help out in the future.

Finally settled on Sullivan Farms, after seeing some 25 homes in various sub in Franklin and Brentwood, on one weekend, whew! Good friends moved there last year from our church. We gave up 3 acres of woods for a swimmimg pool, no yard, side walks and plenty of kids for my boys to play with. Should be down there at the end of this month, can't wait! Still deciding if we should stay up here to the end of the school year. My boys (middle and Elem) are warming up to the idea of coming down and finishing the last 20 days here. Pray for successful closing and my son's openness to moving sooner vs later.

Can you say spring in the south?

There's a Packers fan club that meets at the bowling center in Franklin. It's on Lakeside Drive (can't figure out where the lake is though!)

FYI There used to be a great catfish restaurant there called Uncle Bud's, and they had a big "lake" in front of it. Maybe that's it.

Welcome to Franklin! It's a great town -- pleasant people, convenient shopping and restaurants, good schools, and pretty quick access to both the city and really beautiful rural areas.
We moved here from Brooklyn NY and, while we do miss friends and family we left behind, there's not much else we miss about it!
Well, okay -- yes, the pizza..... <G>
Our kids (9, 11 and 14 years old) are thriving here. The public schools are vastly superior to NYC schools, the neighborhood is safe and the neighbors are friendly. I still like to visit NY, but it's a relief to get home.

Frozen Tundra: I live in that same rust belt. You couldn't have chosen a better place to move - fell in love with Franklin and that whole area first time I visited. In fact, planning a May trip down. Best of luck with your move!!!!!!!!!!
