Default Moving to Nolensville/Franklin and need Pediatrician/Doctors

Hello, my family and I are moving to either Franklin or Nolensville. We will be looking for Pediatricians and Doctors for our family. My children are 13 and 7. This is one of my biggest concerns on finding some great doctors/dentists/obgyn etc. As far as finding doctors and being close to hospitals which area am I better off going to? Thank you for any advice!

Lots of people will have their own favorites, but here are mine:
In the twenty years I've lived in Williamson County, my family has gone to Williamson Medical Center for hospital services and had great care. Folks in my family have had everything from C-sections to heart operations to emergency care and never had a problem.
I can also recommend Pediatric Associates of Franklin for pediatricians. I've used them for 15 years and stayed with them through three office moves. Personally I've liked Dr. Carr and Dr. Chambers.
Be very careful with dentists. There are a few here who use tricky billing techniques. I recommend Dr. Paul Gilliam for the whole family, or Brentwood Dental Specialists if you want pediatric care. They do dentistry and orthodontics in one clinic.
All of these practitioners are near the intersection of Caruthers Blvd. and Moores Lane.
Good luck with your move!

Thank you, Thank you. I need all the support I can get. Its such a big move away from family and then to need to find Doctors and all its just a little scary. I hope to feel welcomed and meet lots of nice families.

I personally have not had great experiences with Harpeth Pediatrics. They misdiagnosed my daughter once saying she had asthma, and told me to give her steroids , which a specialist laughed at and said was absurd, she merely had a respiratory infection. Then, they failed to advise me to go to a specialist for any eye infection when it was clearly in my daughter's best interests. Since, then, i have had trouble getting new insurance b/c the asthma is on her chart even though she has never taken any medicene for it and again, they should have sent me to the specialist... not given me steroids and discouraged me from getting the second opinion. i am lucky my in laws insisted on seeing the asthma doctor first and NOT following and accepting their incorrect diagnosis. It also took them 5 weeks and 4 antibiotics to cure my son's ear infection...that was the last straw.
Dr. Daxx Dunn for family eye care is kind and knowledgeable and even takes calls off hours for emergencies! Maryland Farms pediatrics was better, except for the older lady in the practice, she and i didnt see eye to eye on children needing more comfort and less stress while ill.

We take our children to Harpeth Pediatrics and have been very happy there. We switched from Centennial in Brentwood on Franklin Rd because the wait time was so long. We also go to Dr Daxx Dunn for eyes and Brentwood Dental Specialists for our children. For ob/gyn, I go to Franklin Women's Center.

Last year we got to experience the Williamson Medical Center ER and Vanderbilt Children's ER on the same day for my daughter's broken arm. Both facilities are great but for very serious injuries, I would just go straight to Vanderbilt. We first went to WMC but because of the extent of my daughter's broken arm which required surgery, they transported us to Vanderbilt.
