I can't believe I hadn't seen that until now. That is one of the funniest web sites I have seen in a long time. If you live in the Nashville area and you're not rolling with laughter by the end of it, there is something wrong with you.

If you hadn't shopped there in the 1980's and somewhat into the 1990's - you can't image how big the change.

It really is disturbing.

The Avenue in Murfreesboro is getting customers from Smyrna/Lavergne even though it is so much longer of a drive. Some even make the LONG drive to Cool Springs to avoid "Hickory Harlem."

It's heartbreaking to see how downtrodden the mall and surrounding property has become since its heyday in the 80's and early 90's. I'm surprised to see that Ronquillo's is still there! As a teen I was forever breaking my gold bead and floating heart necklaces (viva la 80's!) and always took it to them for repair.

Did you about the motel that got padlocked near I-24 and Harding Place?

The crime was out of hand.

That was the world-famous Harding Motel, formerly the Knights Inn. The police called it a "house of ill repute" and shut it down. Totally screwed up my weekend plans.

If you are in Hendersonville, aren't there some ho-houses not as far to get to?

Goodlettsville? Inglewood? Madison? East Nashville?

What about that one stretch of Murfresboro Road near town?
