When I read your question to my teenagers, they both said, "The Red Sox!" Get it?
Anyway, do you have to bring something that has to be grilled? Could you bring a big salad or veggie dish?
If you want to bring something to grill, I love sweet potatoes, onions, yellow squash, asparagus, potobello mushrooms and peppers on the grill. I usually marinate them in some sort of vinagrette (balsamic works well) and then put them in pita bread with some goat cheese.

PS You get points for not calling it a barbecue.

Yay, boyfriend! He's helping you assimilate, I see.

Hope you enjoy the party and have many more this summer.

It's more of a verb, "come on over, we're grilling out." A barbeque, no. A grill-out, that's a new one. I think more a matter of translation. No noun, verb. Got it. lol.

And Wsmn...you've inspired me, love that goat cheese.

Thanks, Msblaazer. During my post I was trying not to forget the "cookout". I grew up hearing "we're having a cookout on Saturday."
