Default Anyone live in/near Kingston Springs?

Hi, my husband is being transfered to work somewhere in Nashville this summer. We have never been there and would like to live in a kid friendly community with good schools. Our children are 3 & 8. We would like to live where they can still enjoy the things we do here, such as plays, festivals, library events, concerts, swimming and my oldest is in Karate. How far is Kingston Springs from Nashville? Does anyone know anything about the Elementary schools there? Particularly KSE? I've heard there are alot of things for the kids to do in Murfreesboro. How far is Murfreesboro from Nashville. Anyone have any other suggestions of towns outside of Nashville that might suit our family? I read that Mt. Juliet was nice, but is getting a bit overcrowded. I'd like to live in a nice quiet area not too far from the hustle and bustle. This will be our first home and we would like to find a home with 3 bedrooms no more than 120,000. Year doesn't matter. Thank you for everyones help. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

I live in Bellevue which is in the southwest corner of Metro Nashville. Kingston Springs is the next area further west in Cheatham County. From Kingston Springs to downtown Nashville would take 30 minutes to 50 minutes depending on the time of day and the traffic; say 40 minutes for an average, maybe less.

You can find all of the things you mentioned in or around KS; you just might have to go here and there to get to some of them. For example, there are arts and play stuff for kids in Nashville, not so much in Cheatham County.

Default Kingston Springs living

Kingston Springs is where my wife and I are looking. We have lived in Nashville area for over 30 years. Check the average home price on the City-Data website and you'll find it a bit pricey. $250k-$300k. you might find something in the $120k range ,but there may be a reason for the low price ( neighborhood ). Murfreesboro I-24 traffic to Nashville is the worst I know of for commuting. About 40 mile from downtown to downtown. always wrecks and a major truck corridor. Hermitage-Donelson area as well as Bellevue might be better and within the county with all the amenities. Antioch area is the new crime center with the gang problems. West Nashville between Bellevue and White Bridge road straddling I-40 west would be price friendly also.
