Hello,
Looking for information regarding small towns (10,000 or less) to live in near Nashville. Reasonable housing costs and smaller schools. Have a h.s. freshman and preschool/Kindergartener. My main concern is our oldest. We would prefer he go to a smaller school. Also not a huge commute to Nashville is also a factor. Any advise? We are traveling down this week for hubby's job interview and would like to scout the area. Would like a few suggestions first. Thanks...hope to hear from someone soon.

I will second the recommendation of Pleasant View. We are looking to move there from Arizona. We visited there last April and loved it. The town is only about 4,000 people. Our friends that live there say that the schools there aren't as well rated as Williamson county schools but are very good. You can check out the town at townofpleasantview.com. It is nice because you get the ruralness of a small town but are only 25 minutes away from Nashville and Clarksville where the amenities are.

Default Christian School

That would be a possibility for our youngest who is just now 4. He seems to be the one who needs the most "guideance" if you know what I mean.lol. Any suggestions....for the school I mean.

There's Pleasant View Christian. I have friends who have children who go there (I'm "grandpa" to the kids). There's some other Christian schools around the other areas.

I know what you mean. You should have seen me and my brother. Gee, did we need guidance . . . especially when my brother set the field on fire.

Try Williamson County for the best schools and good employment possibilities with beautiful landscape especially in Leipers Fork area which has a really cute town area and amazing music scene. A little more pricey though.

I have no idea how big Hendersonville is, but the schools in Hendersonville are great.
