OK people help me with this Chupacabra animal found in Puerto Rico and now in Texas. Is it a dog, coyote or hyena with no fur roaming Texas so called "sucking the blood out of domestic animal? I have seen pictures of this animal on TV & youtube but no one says where it is from. Is it a genetic freak of nature or freak of man experimentation gone wrong. Why hasn't this thing been seen in TX all these years. I doubt a creature like that could survive the heat or the insects of Texas or the winters unless it is restricted to south TX. No where has anyone explained the orgin of this animal. If you find accurate info on it , let me know.

Reason: spell
Chupacabra (goat sucker) as far as I know it's in the same classification as bigtoot and the Loch Ness Monster, mythical. Those animals pictured and suspected of being chupacabra are normally found to be coyote or dogs with band mange.

That's because it's probably to be found at the bottom of a tequila bottle.
A couple of years ago there were claims of there being one found near Cuero in DeWitt Co. Uh huh. It turned out to be a dog or a coyote - I forget which - with untreated sarcoptic mange. It was kind of funny that local papers ran the story just because if you've ever seen a dog (or any animal for that matter) with untreated mange, it was very obvious what it was. But nooooo - it was much better to run screaming headlines (as much as local papers' headlines can scream) about it -maybe- being a chupacabra. They sent blood off for DNA testing. Tax money well spent I'm sure.

LOL... Thanks for clearing that up. I figured it wasn't anything much because there would have been all kinds of pubilicity around it.

nope the chupacabra is just a myth, much like the boogie man, my ex MIL who was hispanic told her kids when they were younger that if they didn't behave the chuapcabra would get them.
