Noticed a new pair of birds this morning. About the size of a dove but a little slimmer. Light grey, small amount of dark grey and white on chest. Very bright salmon colored chin and underside of wings, very striking when they flew around. Otherwise sitting on the fence bouncing their heads around, courting? I also heard a different type of rapid succession, short "calls" for the first time while watching them, wonder if it was them talking, or maybe another type of bird in the yard. I live in the Pacific Northwest.

All I could think of was a Cassin Finch, but that's probably too small.

How about a Common Redpoll?

Nope, darn. Bigger than the Common Redpoll. Very much dove shaped. But the salmon color on the underside of their head and wings is the same color as that color on the Common Redpoll.
