Pretty much anything that contains iron will respond. Pyrites, hematite, red clay, etc.
If you have a magnet and a stream, you can usually collect what looks like iron filings that are gray in color by dragging the magnet through the stream bed. Some of those "filings" can be fragments from meteorites.

When I was a kid I collected enough of them to fill a spice bottle. Didn't know where they came from at the time, but they were great for putting on paper, sticking a magnet underneath and showing the lines of force.
