A Chinese farmer claims that one of his sheep has given birth to a puppy dog.

The 'puppy' has wool like a lamb but it's mouth, nose, eyes, paws and tail look more like a dog's.

That's what I was just about to post.

What a perfect thread for April Fools, lol.

Here's a link w/ another picture.

Yue Guozhang, a scientist at Xi'an City Animal Husbandry Technology Centre said sheep and dogs cannot mate. "It's not possible that a sheep could become pregnant with a puppy," he said. ‘It's likely that this is just an abnormal lamb."

I think this farmer is just creating the attention to make a profit.

I'm more inclined to believe he found a puppy some place - maybe a poodle mix of some kind - and is saying it was born to the sheep. Don't believe for a second the sheep gave birth and it looks too much like a dog to be an abnormal sheep to me. Just my guess. Fun for April Fools though like kahskye said.

well since the dna is incompatible its definatly not a sheep x dog...

from the picture id put money on a stray mixed breed "shaggy dog" puppy that the ewe might have adopted...but id happily put money that the ewe did NOT give bith to that puppy.

cute pup though.

Well i have to say it does resemble a sheep a bit. However also a dog. I am having a hard time believing that the sheep however gave birth to a dog. This could be a mixed breed we don't know of. China, just not sure, what happens there. DNA for a reason.

Could this guy be seeing dollar signs.
