Oh thanks.......
I saw this bird in the wild on a trip to Costa Rica-it was the highlight of my stay and truly is as beautiful as pictured.

Yesterday I saw a hawk perched in the tree top watching for prey.

The colours are so beautiful and getting richer in hue everyday. Yesterday coming back home I noticed the reeds and the bullrushes, and knew that I needed to pull out my paintbrushes again. So beautiful.

the hummingbirds in east/central Tn, have stopped coming to the feeder. I really miss them. The redheaded woodpeckers have taken to the tops of the trees and I only see them occassionally. The garden is falling asleep. I'm ready for the deer to attack my new trees.

What a cool bird picture, indeed. Thanks for sharing with us.

The colours throughout the photo are outstanding. I am going to check this little guy out.

Hawks are wonderful and exciting to watch. They need to eat to.

The leaves are changing and the nights are cooler.

I don't think we've had an overnight low in the 50s yet, but the time's coming.

same here; i like the color change but i hate the fact that it's completely dark by 7:00 now. and after daylight savings rolls back at the end of the month, it'll be dark by 6.

We cover our fountain nightly or else The Renegade Pooper comes along and does his/her business in it. This morning, when I uncovered it, something dropped into the water. Thinking it was a leaf, I went to grab it, and it turned out to be one of those itty bitty little frogs that lives around here! I'm not sure who was more surprised!
