I hate the acorns. My dog picks them up, crushes them with her teeth and spits them out on the patio. Looks like a war zone out there.
We had a lot of monarchs come through earlier this week before the cold front. The kitty that lives outside was sitting under a big flowery bush, completely unaware that about 20 butterflies were hovering over her.
That would make a fun picture.
I've noticed a lot of dew on the grass in the mornings since the weather cooled. A contrast to summer when its' too warm even in the early morning to find much dew.
Saw the first Northern Harrier, down for the winter----male is brown w/long tail that has a distinctive white stripe around it...a raptor, like falcons, eagles etc.
