I raised her with a rascally black and white border collie. They were an inseparable awesome couple. I have seen a few people in the city walking them Pyrs and there are a great number who end up in shelters because of their wandering nature. The photo gave me wonderful memories...thank you bjh.
The markings on the ears are when they have the so-called badger pattern, as you might already know.

Agree, they need a high fence and a careful owner. Our friends' previous Pyrenees was a female that considered their cat to be HER pet. She doted on that cat and protected it. Both have passed from old age now.

Too bad they wind up in shelters. Really good idea to have any outdoor pets microchipped so they can be returned to their owners!

Saw a Turkey Vulture today. I thought they'd made off for warmer climes by now.

Osprey seen today-handsome raptor, that guy. He was resting/watching from on high-a light pole on the bridge, overlooking the river...

Turkey and black vultures are here year-round. They ride thermals up so high you can barely see them with the naked eye.

have a pleasant weekend-
