I was leaving my office one night and on the overpass to the expressway was this HUGE rainbow and I had to actually drive through it. A rainbow is extremely bright and completely comprised of dense dust particles to the point you cannot see the car in front of you. It was the most surreal experience.
These pictures are about as close as I can get to showing you the experience. The second picture is just to show you how incredibly bright it gets.
It gets brighter than this and you can't see a thing.
Wow! How very cool! Did you find the leprechaun? The algae rainbow in your post above was cool too!
Well good news ..bad news on our three little birds. I heard chirping last night during some rainy stormy weather. I figured the test flights had begun. I've mentioned before my daughter has left her outdoor cats over here. I was planning on trying to keep the little ones safe. I didn't realize they were actually prepared to leave. To make a long story short the nest was empty today. I'm assuming they all made good their escape except for one unfortunate one. Considering the dangers out there I'd imagine two out of three ain't bad.
Here are a few photos of a Robin. The exposure is off a bit... I was taking it through the window at the library (where else? That is where 3/4s of my nature hunts end up! Ha)

I've seen a lot of mockingbirds flying around. You can easily tell by the white markings on their wings.
